Barred Rocks But Why All the White

I have an identical girl to your ameraucana, she is 25 weeks old and is not laying yet. She is the same size as well, smaller than my others.
Having said that, I am not convinced my girl is an americauna and not an EE since I have seen pictures on here that people say are EE and not the purbreds.
Maybe maybe not, all I know is she is very pretty.
I will wait and see what color eggs she lays I guess.
Anyway, yours could be 6 months old and not laying.
My ee is 29 weeks old and just laid her first egg 3 days ago.
My little one that looks like yours is 25 weeks old and not laying yet.

I also agreee with speckledhen, I think you have yourself a sexlink cockeral.

here's a show quality barred rock cockere, about five months old.

CajunLizz, the guy I bought the Ameraucanas (could be EE's) said they were 6ish months old. The rooster in the second pic (Petey) finally started crowing. I heard him at 04:30 on Monday. It was music to my ears.

Still waiting on eggs.....

Onthespot, Wow, that is a gorgeous bird. The bars are almost mesmerizing.

As always, thanks for the help everybody.

hey ken, those barreds aren't mine, they belong to a freind if mine. She just got them in two days ago. Her name is Celeste and you can see her site at www.hamandeggsranch.com
While you are ordering... here's a sneak peek at something else she got... SSSsssshhhhhHH! Don't tell anyone. She got these bourbon reds from the same guy, they are from some exclusive bloodline and just about impossible to get. They are HUGE!!! I am nto a turkey person, but WILL be getting some of these eggs this spring!!!!!!!!! I told her I want to be her first customer. Sorry about the bad pics it was getting to be roost time.

Gorgeous animals.................... HMMMMMMMM Thinking some of those Turkeys would be tasty. What standard breed chicks/eggs does she do? Personally I liek the marans, barred rocks, and any good layer of larger eggs.

my marans blow the doors off her marans, to be honest. I did hear the guy that dropped off the barred rocks say they layed a medium egg. If you want a bird to really knock out an egg a day mostly, try the production breed, even production quality Barred Rocks, or the Rhode Island Red, Leghorn, Australorpe, Red Sex Links, stuff like that. They are not usually great pets, but they will keep the eggs coming better than most other breeds.
