Barred rocks with green or blue in their feathers....?

Its over cast today. When I was admiring my australorps feathers, I noticed that my barred rocks have "mermaid" feathers too!!

Is this normal, or does it mean they're mixed somewhere down the gene line?

No, I believe that is normal for BRs black part of the feather.
