Are all ameraucana feet dark green? I only ask because I've notice some white, splash or wheaten splash chickens that have either white feet or green but almost like the white color lightened the feet color to white or almost white. I'm interested in getting some and want to make sure I'm not getting a mix breed.

Also. I've seen some roosters with pea combs that are large and kinda flopped over. Does that mean they're probably mixed too or can a pea comb be overgrown sometimes?

Those large/floppy pea combs you see are pea combs mixed with single combs. Ameraucanas should have blue/slate legs, not green, though some varieties will have white/pink or black legs.

Got it. Should the combe be only pea and not mixed? Is a floppy comb just undesirable or proof that it's a mix and therefore not pure ameraucana?
