Barred rocks with turquoise feather on back??

My 2 barred rock pullets have a couple feathers on thier back around thier wings that are turquoise? Anyone know anything about this?

Mine have some that shine kinda purple in the sun...but certainly not turquoise! That would be cool! Terri O

Yeah, I don't really notice it until the sun hits it. It is really cool, at first I thought they had something spilled on them, but it's definately just the feather color. Wow purple, now that would be cool!

I think that her babies are crossed with another black chicken I have. I have no idea what he is, but he shines green and purple in the sun and is jet black all over...legs wattles the whole bit. I sure would like a whole flock like him! Terri O
