Barred rocks

Sooo I was told these were pullets but they act like roos already. Any thoughts? I know it is early. But the beak, the legs are black and stocky I am a beginner but it has me thinking roo.

Behavior of chicks isn't an accurate way to sex.

How old are they? I'm not seeing anything to indicate cockerels.

Barred rock pullets are chunky girls. They look like pullets to me based on feather pattern and you saying their legs are dark. Whenever I raise pure BR with my BR crosses I always think the BR girls are cockerels at first glance but no they are just chunky monkeys with monster legs.

I really have no idea they (3) are starting to feather so a few weeks I am guessing. I have barred hens but they were nothing like these chicks they are crazy. I guess they will tell on themselves in due time. Thanks for the input I will post a leg shot. This one chick is sooo sweet I am in love. Even though it looks a little scruffy at the moment

The black wash indicates pullet. Cockerel would be orange/yellow.
