Up until a couple of days ago I had 2 barred rocks and one that was laying at 24 weeks. I was very concerned that the other may be a rooster. I have posted pics below of the bird in question. But today I found 2 eggs in the nest box so I guess my question has been answered. I just thought that everyone would like to see a pic of what I thought may have been a rooster but turned out to be a hen!

In this second picture you can see the other hen. They have quite different combs.

Even while I am posting this I am questioning whether or not this is a rooster. I just have to remind myself that I got 2 eggs this morning....Is is possible a hen can lay 2 eggs in one day???

That looks like a roo to me. I have had pullets lay 2 egg a day before. That might be what happen to you.
Then again I have a GLW hen the has a over size comb. Looks rooish but I'v watched her lay a egg. Good luck hope its a hen .

I have been consistently getting two eggs a day but one is in the morning and the other is after noon. It would seem hard to believe that one hen is laying two eggs within 6 hours of each other. So I'm gonna say that they are both female. I guess one is just a bit more butch looking than the other. LOL!
