    Here's a pic of my barred rocks! I believe they're about 13 weeks? I didn't get them as chicks.

    Well, we have confirmation that the lighter colored chick is a male! He started crowing this week. (if that's what you can call it!)

    I'm fairly new to chickens and I've raised a barred rock named Donna Tubbs (my RIR is Lois Griffin LOL) since she was little. Because they were my first chickens I didn't ask how old they were. I was just too excited to think!
    Now I've got a small egg showing up in the nest & I can't figure out who is laying it. My hens lay huge eggs.
    This is Donna when we got her the first week of April:
