Can anyone explain the difference in genotype between a barred cuckoo bird like a Dominique and a smooth barred bird like a Barred Rock? Am I correct in thinking that the barring gene B is responsible for both? Is there another gene that controls whether the barring is cuckoo or smooth?

the difference between them would be, slow feathering and probably Columbian(Dr. Ron Okimotto found Co in a show linde of Barred Rocks) that would be the difference, as they share the same barring gene
