Hello. Newly established Chicken Farm here. =) Born and raised on a farm and now I have one of my own. We have chickens, ducks, guineas, and turkeys. We have 7 separate coops on our farm and allow free ranging during the afternoon and lock up safely at night. We have Ayam Cemanis, Rhode Island Reds, Black Jersey Giants, Lavender Orpingtons, Americaunas, Australorps, Royal Palm turkeys, Rouen and Ancona ducks, and Guineas. Currently selling hatching eggs on Ebay and looking to start selling live chicks. Excited to join BackYard Chickens!!

Welcome to BYC, and good luck with your flocks and endeavors.
There are only a few breeds laying currently and they are only allowed out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. They are not close together and as long as it's only a couple of hours and not all day, they don't roam far from their coops. We've learned that if we let them out for much longer than that, a couple of them start to roam further, especially the Rhode Island Reds. =) Once the others start laying, we will alternate coops to allow free ranging so there aren't any mixes.
