Bathing chicks?

We recently purchased 4 ameraucana chicks and they got very dirty very fast. I’m not sure if i should bathe them or not because water is dangerous for chickens but if I do bathe them, how?

Can you explain how they are dirty?
Chicks can make things dusty.

If they’re dirty/dusty just let them wallow in their glory!

If they have pasty butt, or fresh poo smeared into their down, a wet washcloth will get it out.

X2 on pasty butt. It's one of the only reasons chickens would need to be cleaned. Bathing is especially dangerous for chicks because it will drop their body temperature way too much. If you do a search for dust bathing, that's the kind of bath a chicken enjoys. It's also highly entertaining to watch.
