Baths

Hi
I know that chickens love to have dust baths with wood ash.

My question is , would it be ok for my hens to have a dust bath in peat ash

Where are you that you access to Peat Ash? I would say that most chickens know what to dust bath in and what to not. Put it out... if they use it, its probably ok.

I am in Co Mayo in Ireland and we wry rarely burn wood but burn peat daily

Thank you all for the lovely warm welcome.

Only had our hens for 2 days.

We have 4 , 18 week old hens, they are really friendly and are settling in well xxx
