Bathtime photos and a question about bill color...

I love to watch them dive!

Ok, so here is the question. These ducks all came from Ideal on 5-7. They all- except one- have orange bills. The one remaining has stayed a purple color. Of course they all eat the same thing, are rasied together- etc. So I am wondering why this might be? any ideas?

I searched the archives and really couldn't find much. I wonder if by chance there is another breed in there that might bring that difference?

I had one I thought was a pekin with a pink bill (he is in my avatar) He turned out to be a Buff duck. He looked exactly like a pekin baby.

In that first pic to the right is that duckling completley submerged underwater?

Yeah, I wondered if even there might be some Aylesbury in the woodpile so to speak... It will be interesting to see if it changes...

And yes, he/she loves to dive! They are olympic swimmers you know!

I am just curious if the duckling with the pink bill ended up being a pekin? I have one duckling that has a pink bill and trying to figure out if she is a pekin or something else.
