We're on Sand Mountain - the nearest big city is Gadsden. But we're up a lot higher, and tend to get quite a bit colder.
It's a foot deep on the lawn furniture. There are snow drifts outside. It's like another planet out there.
Oh, my poor chickens, in that coop built for 110 F! I hope they generate as much body heat as I've thought. I hope that dopey hen got out of the metal nestbox and onto the perch with the others...Or maybe she's warmer in that small space.
