Perfect time to get another...or two!

I have 4 and wish I had a couple more.
I bought 1 new(pricey), then borrowed a couple more during slaughter.
Then started shopping the flea market, and bought 3 more for $10-20 each.
They fold up to store pretty nicely, 4 crates stored take less space than 1 (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) opened up even with trays separate.

When I started reading this I thought you meant perfect time to buy 2 more BIRDS at $10-$20 each. When you said they folded up nicely my jaw dropped!:th:th:th:th:lau:lau:lau:gig:gig:gig
Springtime for birds. Cages sometime soon.

It's hard to know if she even needs to be separated, but if she is not getting to eat/drink, then you may need to do that. Check her crop at night, if it's full that's evidence she is getting to eat.

I'm retired but I work weekends only, so I didn't see actions today. However when I got home this evening Henneth was sitting in a nest and didn't shy from me when I tried to pet her. Picked her up, yup, her crop is non-existent. We set up the cage, covered with tarps food n water added, bedding, little roost. In she goes. Both rocks teased her from the outside of the cage. Henneth flung herself at them a couple times hitting the wire cage walls of course. I guess shhe thought they could get her and tried to scare them off. She settled. Lets see how she does tomorrow. Love this beauty. It's breaking my heart.

The video looked that way but I didn't start the camera in time. You saw Henneth trying to get past Fraggle to join the flock eating scraps I had just put out. Too, If you read back you'd see how it became more and more clear. Henneth wasn't allowed out of the coop by Fraggle unless she stalked her and chased her out. She pulled her feathers out, wouldn't let her eat or drink, chased her out and around the run. At one point as Henneth ran scared from Fraggle, ran behind me, and FLEW to the top of my head! She allowed me to pick her up from my head. You know she was petrified cuz she never lets anyone pick her up! She felt safer with me.

I was going to update a bit last night but fell asleep after work.
Fraggle is the name of the Barred Rock. Now I understand your confusion about who attacked who. Henneth is the Easter Egger being attacked.
2 nights ago I put Henneth in a dog cage covered with tarps that I use for introducing new birds.she can be seen but not attacked. She had been cowering in the nesting area and not eating or drinking. Her crop at night was non existent. I wanted her to have some peace and be able to eat and drink. When I first put her inside the Rocks investigated of course. This scared Henneth since she still didn't realize yet that she was safe. I think she felt trapped. She flung heself against the wire cage a couple of times then ran to the back part which is covered with the tarp. She does hang there quite a bit. The second night (last night) she had a bit of a crop but not as much as she should at night. This morning she hung back while I uncovered the front half of the cage and hung food. I had expected her to try to get out. As I opened the mail cage she did come forward. I'm hopeful she will eat more today. I understand pecking order but she's petrified and wasn't eating even with 2 additional food and water stations added to the run with one of them inside the coop. Wish me luck.
