Lacing and tails...I take lots of pictures like this, in an attempt to take better ones, too bad they're only interested in the food I've thrown on the ground for them.

A blurry picture of Alice, my favorite pullet, her lacing is crisp and well defined in person. She's beautiful.

If you can believe it, these chicks aren't even 5 months old yet! They are the biggest chicks I've even seen, they're still suppose to double in size as they mature. I'm honestly kind of scared of just how big they are going to become...

I'm a little worried that I may not have built their coop big enough, too!

Next are a couple shots of my Delawares, a breed I will always have. They're some of my most personable birds and are terrific layers.

Finally a few shots of my Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas, I absolutely love these birds. They're stunningly beautiful and have the sweetest, most curious personalities. All of my birds originated from Jean Ribbeck stock, I can't say enough towards the quality of her birds.

I took this picture through hardware cloth on the coop, my Ameraucanas are typically always the first ones to get settled into their spots on the roosts.

Hi all,

My friend who lives in the Sacramento area is looking for black Auarcanas
D.gif
... she posted on another chicken forum, don't know if she got any replies or not.

Does anyone know who might have some? They don't have to be show quality. I also told her about the Stockton show.

Thanks,
D.

Hm, I dunno anyone in the Bay Area/Northern California that raises true Araucanas...

If you do some searching on the Araucana thread you might be able to find a breeder. The BYC user Illia in Washington state has some nice Araucanas, though I don't know if she has any pure blacks.

Your friend should also check out the website http://www.skyblueegg.com, they have some nice Araucana stock.

ETA: Dawn... I just realized, the website I listed above is actually Lanae's site! Weird, I never made that connection until now! I also completely forgot that she's here in CA.
