So sorry about your chick.

Makayla lost her $1000 chick yesterday. One of her bunnies, Jacob had already died this weekend. I have no idea what happened to it, but it was dead when we went out to feed them.

I'll have to watch for her hen Bella in the nest box. I've been collecting all the BCM and EE eggs to hatch, since I had so many of the the Marans x Games hatch. I sold all but 3 of them and thought I was ahead, so nest watch today.

Does anyone have Russion Orloffs? Or do you know anything about this breed? Concord Feed is supposed to have some in right now. We love the spangled look!

Debi, I've read they are especially cold hardy. They're docile and lay a cream tinted egg. That's honestly all I know but I do love their coloration, too!

Ok, so my husband did a fecal exam on Bridget's poop at my request, just because she had the occasional runny poop. And lo and behold, he found a little something. 1 1/2 specimins of a microscopic worm with one round end and one pointy end. Is this roundworm? He couldn't identify it. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for a treatment that is as gentle on the bird as possible? I know I could just search the boards, and I will after I return from work.

Thanks!

It's so sad when they don't make it. So sorry for both Makala and Debi.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. The service for Quasi is this afternoon. We just got back from meeting Jeremy at Concord Feed. We came home with his precious 1 day old BW chick and two others from the feed store. Only in chicken math does -1 = +3!

Our 2 little silvers are having a great time with their new sisters/brothers. The little BW is exhausted from his/her travels and is taking a nap! We are going to keep a close eye on your little baby, Jeremy! We love him/her already! If he/she turns out to be a Claude, we might have to talk husband into moving!

Let me know if you want some more - I left yesterday's out last night, with today's I have plenty that should be good to go.

I still have two more from you in the bator. I could put them under the broodies, as well as a couple mixed breed test eggs from Jessica in Sebastopol. If they don't stop eating them, I'm going to give up on the broodies, though. I don't want to start that habit. The incubator doesn't eat eggs.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks!
