Bay Area BYCers!

Yeah well unless he's Hodini he's not getting out now. I couldn't wait. It was bothering me so I grabbed the board and put it in place.

He is pretty isn't he?

I love my boy. Matter of fact I'm on my way down the street to buy another $1 watermelon from the neighbor. He ate a little while I fixed the board in place. He prefers grapes though and I don't blame him. The grapes I bought were great, but I shared to many with the birds. Even the dogs ate some. LOL

OK.............treken for melons!

No more grapes for your doggies, they are toxic to them

Looking for a good peach canning recipe, anyone have anything special?

Also a pickled green tomato recipe - last year made some for my dad, his favorite, and they turned out way to vinegary

oh and having just come back from yellowstone, I think I ate myself silly of huckleberries. Anyone know where they can be gotten fresh...on to google it

and finally a fried green tomato recipe... THANKS

Walt,
I am a "Granny driver". I usually set my cruise control at the speed limit or up to 3 miles higher & there I go...................LOL. I never worry about watching out for Hwy patrol that way & it makes for a more contented drive since I hate to drive anyway.

Kim, If I get a chance I may just drop by Safeway & see if I can find Kim. It's so nice having someone that has already been the route tell you about it.

Aaron was missing one of his new Lady Amherst Pheasant breeding trio this morning & I was so bummed. He found a small opening along the top of the roof that she must have found & got out of. He looked everywhere & was sure she was totally gone. Then later in the day my husband Ray found her standing in his barn in the wood shop. So he closed the barn up & went & got Aaron & the chase was on....................LOL But,.... they caught her & all is good with the world again & the opening is now closed......LOL

Granny driver most times here too.

Cheryl they've eaten them off the vines for years. Not often, but once in a while they'll grab one up and chase them around for a while and then eat them. They just decided to try to beat the birds to them today. More out of greed.

If any of you come back from the Heirloom Expo, and feel like starting a Barnevelder project, please let me know. I have 4 beautiful boys who will go to freezer camp this weekend if they don't find homes.

Also, my blue EE roo must go. I simply don't have enough hens to satisfy his libido. The girls need a rest. I was hoping to ship him to Texas, but it just won't cool down out there. Guess he's going to freezer camp, too.

I don't have the heart for all this. I don't think I'm going to incubate again.

You know how I am over roos. but I don't have things set up good enough right now. I lost my Barnies with the first cat-tastrify. I love them. But I figured I'd wait and work with what I already have for now.

I'm so sad the may have to go to camp. I hope you have some luck with homes.

Have you advertized them on here or CL or maybe kijiji?
