Bay Area BYCers!

Jeremy, do you know something that I don't. My Buff Orpingtons are English that I know of.
I screwed upon this new format & somehow turned off my subscriptions so am now going back & trying to catch up. I have just started & have a ways to go..................LOL

Allison, I ended up only hatching 6 Swedes, out of 14 eggs.

Out of those 6 chicks 2 have crooked toes. 1 is a pullet that looks like it is going to be a beautiful Blue Mottled color, I'm super bummed about her. The other is a Mille Fleur cockerel, he only has 1 crooked toe but it's there. The other 4 chicks all have normal toes, I've got 2 pullets that look like they are going to be solid Splash or maybe Splash Mottled, another Blue Mottled looking crested cockerel, he has some red coming in on his head and shoulders now and a crested pullet who is reddish and blue, I have no idea how she will turn out though. But she has a HUGE crest already.

What do you plan on doing with all of your cockerels? Who did you hatch eggs from?

I've never been to Crogans but if they have seating and the atmosphere is mellow then it works for me.

The SFH are my youngest chicks, they just over a month old. My juvie Orps are the only other babies I have right now. In the incubators I've got eggs from my Sumatra trio, a Platinum cockerel over Black hens. I've candled 2 out of the 4 eggs and so far the two that I checked are developing! I'm so excited about these guys, I'm hoping to hatch a few more Platinum and Dun chicks.

In my other incubator the special eggs are cookin' away... they're only on day 5, I have American Buff Orpingtons from sewandgrow who I believe has birds from Terry Britt lines, they should be big beautiful golden birds. The other eggs in that incubator are project large fowl Chocolate Orpington eggs, the resulting chicks that hatch should weigh around 6 or 7 pounds and should be able to naturally breed with my LF English Orp girls. I am VERY EXCITED about these guys and I cannot wait until they hatch. I'll be working with a breeder in Washington to develop a LF Chocolate Orpington.

I also just bought some Golden Neck Old English Game bantam eggs... heh... it's a sickness I tell you.

Definitely on. Jeremy, do you want to move it up to 10:30 am on Sunday? Crogans, in Montclair district of OAkland (off rt 13.) There is a Sunday farmers market there, but free parking in the garage at the top of La Salle, one block up from Crogans and the Farmers market.

So 10:30 Sunday a.m. Crogans?

Im so so mad you guys just changed the time. I was so exited i thought i could make it looked up the loction and sall the san francico brige is closed this weekend so there we be no other way for me to get there unless i go a diffrent way that would take forever.
