WOOHOO Look what I'm getting this week. I'm trading some mille fleur leghorn chicks for 4 tolbunt polish. 2 smooth pullets, 1 frizzle pullet and 1 frizzle roo!! I have ALWAYS wanted them...I just love chickens with SPOTS!!!

I got a Polish hen with it once and Bill and I used this stuff. Her's was really bad and took a month, but gave it to someone else that needed it and their's took about 2 weeks.


Stopped taking my pain meds yesterday because I'm surrounded by stupid people. Been working out back all day.

Kim - at least in my family it's the 9/10ths rule - 9 out of every ten are idiots! How are you feeling?

My cochin eggs went into lockdown this afternoon. I'm not very hopeful that I'll get any actually babies from them. Out of a dozen, one I tossed last week as it showed no growth at all. I have two that look promising, and the others; well we'll see. The good news is after a year I finally named my larger coop "The Chick Inn", the smaller [new] one will soon be signed with "Little Deuce Coop" , since it's for the bantams......

Do anyone in the bay area raise turkeys in the backyard? And I mean in an urban/suburban area, not out in the boonies. Anyone know of any ordinances that regulate raising turkeys? I am just wondering, since theres no mention of turkeys in ordinances, I am wonder if it means free reign on raising them, or prohibited.

Thanks Sarah, I've been wanting forever - and they are so hard to find...I had tried to hatch a couple dozen eggs from a different guy last year and none made it. These are from very hardy stock, so once we wait through a very long summer I should have chicks to share. They are 4 months now so you said they lay at 9months right sarah, so I guess that puts us at AUGUST!! LOL

karen you are so silly, ok so these are large fowl (not large like our orps!) but they are large fowl and dual purpose, well maybe MC nuggets?
