I've found someone in Fremont through CL who is off-loading his flock. He has no idea what breeds they are but as some are laying blue eggs I assume he has Ameracauna / EE. I'll check them out this weekend. He has 7 in all just in case anyone else is interested in any.

 

Make sure to find out old they are. Unless you don't care how long they lay, which you may not.

that did cross my mind. I don't suppose there's anyway of telling how old a chicken is other than by asking its owner????

I have heard that their legs fade significantly in color the older they get. Not sure how you could gauge that though.
