We're so saturated here that I suspect we will have lots of standing water by tomorrow morning.
My water isn’t “ standing “ it’s laying around in deep puddles everywhere. We're so saturated here that I suspect we will have lots of standing water by tomorrow morning.

Hi Jeremy: I'm in Palo Alto and have been keeping chickens for about 20 years. We are allowed six in the suburbs, but I have had as many as 12 as the Palo Alto Animal Services knows I have a very big chicken yard, have room, and they know I'm a really good chicken mama. So, when they have a chicken they have rescued, they contact me. I feel really good about that.I don't know if this has been done already but,
Hello to all who live in the Bay Area!

Let's use this thread as a place to chat, post pics of our urban (or not-so-urban) flocks, share info on where to buy feed/supplies, and etc.

I'm Jeremy, from Oakland. I recently purchased a home here in the city and will be expanding my flock to 32 in the next couple of months. I've currently got Delawares, Buff Orpingtons, Australorps and a Cuckoo Marans roo. I'll be adding heritage Delawares, more Buffs and 'Lorps, BW Ameraucanas, a White Leghorn, a Black Minorca, a Golden Laced Polish and a few Silkies to my flock this spring. (don't worry, fuzz butt pictures are guaranteed.)

Not sure where you live, but I shop at Peninsula Feed Store in Redwood City. They specialize in chicken supplies, plus they sell chicks and pullets.Hi, I'm in the Bay Area and I'm brand new. If anyone feels like recommending their favorite local feed store or other useful resource I'd be all over it.
