You should get one of those little amish fireplace ones my mom got one for like under $300 and it actually kicks out a lot of heat we have radiant floor heating and it gets to hot and costs too much so she got one of those little amish one and stuck it in the fireplace opening and it looks really pretty is cool to the touch and heats up everything really nicely.

Jeremy if it makes it easier I can give up one of each color. That would help someone have enough to keep their babies company.

Also I'm going to have several breeds for sale soon.

Probably EEs and BOs and if I get enough to hatch for New Years I'll have several more breeds.

Most will be chicks, but I have a couple of pullets I'm debating about and some cool looking cockerels.

I'll have lots of breeds in the spring too from the breeds below

Favs
FBCMs
Wellies Bantam and LF
Polish (BL, WCB and white)
AMs (black, blue and BBS) Only have one white pullet, so may use her for EEs......doubt my lavs will be laying until later
Penes
Depending on this hatch I might have some Part Rocks this summer. Not sure I will keep any of these yet though.
I also have Games and working on a new roo now.
Silkies in Black and white.

Liamm_1, I'll be processing my own birds in the spring/summer.

I did my first roo this morning, it was quite an ordeal. Granted, I tried to make do with an unsharpened knife, and a small wastebasket from the dollar store turned into a 'killing cone'. Without going into details, it was quite a chore to harvest this scrawny little bird, lol.
What is most discouraging, was seeing whole Foster Farms chickens on sale @ Safeway last night for $.79/pound. So, for about $4.00, I can buy a bird 3 times the size of what I harvested today, a 19 week old roo.
