Bay Area BYCers!

Hi everyone. I finally read through this thread...whew.
I've got a micro-flock here in Oakland (Fruitvale area) and will be adding one or two more soon.
You guys make me want to start incubating and breeding! Trouble...
Here's my girls Jo and Lucky:

jaloola, nice birds! What breed of chickens are they?

If you are interested I have two black Australorp layers that need a home.

ETA: Here's a picture, PM me if you're interested.

Jo is a mottled Java about 7 months. She just laid her first speckled brown egg yesterday.
Lucky is a blue Andalusian about the same age and has been laying for months.

I REALLY want to add a blue or green egg to my mix so no Australorp for me(she is lovely).
Max space available for 4 birds right now because of coop and run size so I must be choosy.
The girls do free range every day but still...my current set up is a modified shipping crate.

Blue layers? Gotcha covered there, too. I raise Blue Wheaten Ameraucana, I'll be selling hatching eggs and chicks this spring.

Howdy Cali neighbors!

I have three young roosters that need to find new homes, and I thought that meybe someone in the area might be interested. I can deliver them to you if that helps.

Two are polish boys and one is undetermined (folks on the Crevecoeur threat think he might be on of those:confused:)

They're all about 6 months old, currently living with 17 other hens of various ages and behaving themselves very well.

Also... Jaloola -- how old are your Australorps?

And ... Jeremy -- will you let us know when things are rolling in the spring...I'd love me some blue eggs:D?

Ahhh more new people!

Just wanted to let you know that I have blue, silver, lavender and black Ameraucanas also. So will have some of those blue eggs available here too.

Some of us are waiting on a new shipment of chicks in March too!

I also have Bev Davis FBCMs and WMs, Another mixed line flock of FBCMs, Varies Polish, Penes, Bantam Wellies and Favs. Oh and some project birds and almost forgot, 3 BOs and 3 Cochins in the brooders. I also have Games. I look their colors and the way they strut.

Everyone has been on strike here since August when they all decided to moult, then the darker days and the weather, but combs are getting brighter red these days, so I'll have hatching eggs and chicks to sell in the next couple of months.

OK guys, my car is done except the computer. That's going to have to wait another 3 weeks until SS finally starts paying my parent beneifits, so Stockton is really looking like a no go. Bill and I were going to go last year and missed it, so would have been great to finally make it. I'm bummed, but I just went to a specialty shop today and they said that if I drive it this way, I'll be looking at 5k for a catalithic(sp) coverter, so I'm not even gettin gmy son to school. Not one thing it's another. So since I won't be making it, just scout around for ;loose feathers and send them too me. I'll touch them and pretend I went. LOL

Sorry my mind is in another place today. The Wheaten Marans are Prestley lines and are clean legged. I'm going to be bringing in some feather leggged hens to try to clear that up in the future.
