THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whitemore farms!

Getting eggs from a breeder who bought eggs and birds just started laying. I get the 2 dozen that didn't fit in his bator.

oops forgot

The breeder didn't show, but she called me and will be there next week. I may not go if I'm able to go to the cemetery, so might have to meet her before or after at Casa de las Fruitas. I love it there, but might be rough since Bill and I liked it.

Anyway, I didn't stay very long today, but long enough to get a covered litter box for dusting the fluffy butts and .......ummm... can't believe I let her get it, but Makayla got another rabbit. She did the bidding herself and got it for 2 bucks. Just what I needed.

Wanna share a couple of those Wellie eggs with me?

Are you breeding them to bigger rocks now or waiting until you hatch a few more?

Wynette and I have a call scheduled with Robert Blosl-heritage breed guru on thursday. We are going to strategize with him abou the best direction. He's not convinced that breeding to other rocks is the way to go... we'll see....

I can't wait to see what you do with them.

Once I saw them I knew why people were gaga over them.

I put my BR in with my black AM roo yesterday and added a Game hen today. The Games as an EE mix are awesome. Lay like crazy, handle the heat and the cold, and people around here love them.

Working on a new coop for the Game girls and new Game roo. They are so easy. Never need anything fancy and just thrive. They like open air coops since they really don't like being cooped, so when they can see out at all times they're happy.

Also working on a little coop for my project birds. Good thing about them is they are bantams and very small. Trying to keep them that way.

Fun and thanks for the encouragement. They are gorgeous in my opinion

Ok, for 25 chicks, it would be $159.95. So, approximately $6.40 per chick including shipping. You need more than 2, theyre straight run! Unless theres someone else in the Bay Area or N. Central Valley that has some....

Now THAT is the kind of Welsummer Im looking for!!! Are you doing an order?

This is the line of my old flock. Can never remember the Whitemore name these days and it used to be easy since that was also a street I lived off of.

I did do some culling, figured out what I wanted and my eggs were the color of my flowerpots with speckles all over them. They looked even better than the ones in the pics. Broke my heart to have to sell them and I bawled my eyes out for months.

My husband had promised he'd get them for me again so I would have had them in August. Didn't happen.

Took me a while to find someone who had them.

I'm getting 2 dozen and picking out maybe 10. I figure 8 hens and 2 roos. Hope that works out. Then I can sell the rest and wait to hatch more.

My old birds were so awesome. My son had his own, Chipmonk and she would practically jump into his arms when she saw him. She was just beautiful. He's been wanting another one like her and I missed then so bad I just couldnt stand it. So I couldn't afford it, but ordered them anyway.

When I started building my flock again I Bill bought me my Davis FBCM flock and a few others, but he had the only income, so been hard trying to get things going again. No money and short on brains. I've been paying off these eggs for months. Finally got all the money to her, but what she had had been waiting for me for 3 days, so we decided she should just through them in her bator. I'm supposed to get 3 dozen more, but not sure when. At least they're paid for. LOL

What I really wish is that I could get eggs from my old flock. Would be a years worth of someone else doing the breeding, but they were the first chicken eggs I ever bothered to improve on. I think I did pretty darn good too. Always easy when you have good stock.

Anyway I don't have room for many of them, so I'll have some for sale or trade if anyone is interested.

So guess whose wellie is laying again MINE IS!!!!!!!!!!!! They're just for eating eggs and they're a little lighter than usual but I am a happy momma and Marilyn loves to sing when she lays!!

Kudos to your ladies!
Jeremy...um...Could I get a buff laced polish X AM chick when I get the four B/W chicks when I get the order from John Bleme?

Oh my gosh, how did i fall in with you people????

So, Jolene's friend (little cutie-patootie grey) is the only one showing a bit of comb, so we might have to make him a Joe... I missed the interesting color on the grey and cream baby! Kind of interesting subtle mottling...

Oh no... you can keep "Joe" then, I'll just bring home Dolly instead. LOL.

ETA: I've been putting the Polish eggs in the bator on good faith alone, I've never seen my roo show any interest in her, so I'm unsure whether or not they are even fertile. If they are though I'll be sure to send you home with one.
