I have my old coop that we bought for over $300. Now that I've remodeled the shed, I don't need the old one anymore. If you hear of anyone who needs a small coop, let them know to PM or email me. I'd like something for it. It was only in use for about 5 months. I can even help with transporting it in my truck if the buyer needs - as long as someone can help load it into the truck... If I don't hear from someone on here, I'll put it on craigslist. But figured I'd offer it here first and see what I'm offered.
Just a note - I wouldn't put more than maybe 3 (4 maybe if you put the nesting box outside) standard hens in it. Once I got more than my 3 Big Girls, I needed to get a different coop. It worked fine inside an enclosed run so they could get out of it as soon as they woke. Or someone suggested it as a "grow-out" coop.
Alright, here's the deal. I want to know who out there in Bayarealandia can help with the following...
1. I'd like to add three Speckled Sussex 1-2-3-4 day-olds to what we have ordered with (and from) Jeremy...does anyone have plans to hatch around March 21-22-23-24-?? And then..can I meet you at Jeremy's on the 24th? [At least, I am hoping for the 24th, Jeremy! That is what will work out best with my schedule, if the chicks have arrived by then. He is hatching our batch the 22nd or sending them the 22nd?]
2. Next, it appears that I have three hooligans (boys) from my (local provider of Wade Jeanne BCM eggs) Jan 1 hatch. I think two of the boys have feathered shanks (my little girl doesn't.
oh well...) Would anyone like to purchase ($15) what will be a 3 month old roo? I would bring the boys with me to Jeremy's when I come to pick up the babies. I am happy to photograph as we go along. Right now at almost six weeks they are the 7th grade geeks extraordinaire...! Mama has taught them to forage in the garden and orchard very nicely. They like to hang out under the artichoke plants! (See baby pics page 134 this thread.)
Just thinking ahead--I'm a planner bay nature! PM me please, on either subject! Grazie! Grazie!
