Bay Area BYCers!

WOW they really got him off the forums fast. Good to see the mods taking care of business like that.

That was the 3rd one I've had to report in 2 weeks.

Oh, gosh... I want them so bad...
Hey Jeremy -- Why don't you repost pictures of their gorgeous parents and just push me right over the edge?

In other news...

I've gotten some feedback about the 5 gallon buckets for feed storage. I've enough set aside for Jaloola, Laurieks, and Jeremy, but I thought I'd let y'all know that I also have several 20 gallon drums now, and one 40 gallon drum. Can anyone use these? I'm not trying to sell them or anything, I just don't want to see them in the recycling dumpster if they can be reused first. Bartering is always acceptable.

Please PM me!

Can you tell me what was in them previously, and what kind of lid they have?
I would be interested in the larger ones, dog food... chicken food... horse food... hmmm... I have lots of uses...
My other passion is a horse rescue, and we can offer you a nice tax donation reciept for you time...
and they'd go to great use in our local area! (Clayton). I can pick up on my way home from work in SF... :)

I definitely would use some of the big ones... the 40 only if no one else needs it now, otherwise put me on your wait list for the next one. Don't wanna hog them!
I just found mouse 'evidence' in my feed storage area...

Anybody on this thread want to give a good home to my four call ducks, or two of 'em or even one of 'em? I have to rehome them per my landlady's edict.

Two white females, one gray (Mallard colored) drake, and a mystery gray who looks like a girl and yet has not quacked at all, so I dunno.

I would deliver!!!! <*sniffle*>

Ak! Brama with prolasped vent... or something. Super gross. I think surgery is called for. Are there any threads here with step-by-step instructions/photos. video/etc.???

Egg finally passed.
Thank goodness!
We soaked her in a bath for 45 min or so, then rotated the egg inside the membrane with a silicone lubricant to coat.
Soaked her for another 20-15 minutes, then worked the membrane off manually (imagine working on a condom in reverse), and "pop!" Out came a beautiful, tiny egg. All that trouble for something so small... oh well.

Oh yeah... and then we donned gloves, lubed up with anti-bacterial ointment, and pushed the membrane/vent system back inside... twice.
She's resting now in quarantine with a heat source, food, water, snacks...

I'll update in a couple of hours.
