Daphne, I put them in early this morning, around 4:45 AM. So I'm counting today as day 1. That means they will be hatching hopefully by the 25th, or 26th.

I collected 10 eggs today. 1 from each of my Delawares and 2 from my Ameraucanas. My Delaware girls have been cranking them out for about a month now and the Ameraucanas are starting to catch up. They go through spells where they will lay well for a week or so then just stop. I think it's due to the weird weather patterns and lack of direct sunlight, we've had a lot of overcast days in Oakland the past couple weeks.

How is Lorie's broody? I haven't heard any updates from her. I really, really hope some of the eggs make it to hatch, I gave her a dozen.

I'm hatching tonight , two banties out and most of the rest pipped, I'm day 20.

Yup, by the last week of March I will be overrun with little ones!

I'm getting 10 Blue Wheaten and Splash Wheaten Ameraucana chicks from Paul Smith as well as 5 Single Comb Rhode Island Reds, 3 Wheaten Ameraucana and 3 Silver Ameraucana chicks from John Blehm, plus two Splash Marans from Dawn! In my bator there are the 7 Black Copper Marans eggs, 5 Olive Egger eggs, 1 Blue Wheaten Ameraucana X Delaware egg and 4 pure Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas.

I cannot wait for the end of the month!

Clark Kent turned out to be a beauty, and also a docile gentleman. whattheflock has him. sadly, he has no Black Am pullets, so no babies there. If anyone has any extras, please let me (or him) know.

Steffanie I hatched out a few black am chicks this last week but it will take a while before I know if they are girls or not. I planned on holding a couple of pullets for whattheflock. 2 of the black ams came out of the bluest egg! I sure hope they turn out to be girls.

Still homeless, found a house to move into for a few months and the morning we were supposed to move in, the owner cancelled. We are now at the Residence Inn in pleasant hill so at least we have our dogs with us.

My dearest friend Dyann is hatching the crazy amount of eggs I have in the bators. We lockdowned wheaten/blue wheaten ameraucanas & mottled javas, Monday lockdown for salmon faverolles, then next monday lockdown for Blue birchen Marans and bizzilion silver penciled plymouth rocks!

WOOHOO My 2 trios of the buff laced brahmas are shipping on Monday...I'll be holding my breath till I see them! New coop and run for them is ready and waiting!

He'll be sooo happy! He's still waiting for the Silver Am to start laying. So weird. I still think it's because his coops are so dark. The silver am pullet and the silver am rooster (which Dylan named Russell Crow) are getting along very well. But, no eggs.

I haven't had much luck getting an incubator. I guess I'll have to just spring for a new one. It won't kill me. Then it will be time for the Barnie eggs from tls_ranch..... and any silver eggs that might finally be available from whattheflock.
