Bay Area BYCers!

Kim, I hatched 5 Marans from Monique Wagner's (ruth here on BYC) line, 4 Black Coppers and 1 Blue Copper. I only plan on keeping the pullets, any cockerels will need to find new homes. Her birds are of the Wade Jeane line and have been kept pure. The eggs that these chicks hatched from are AMAZING. It's a gorgeous deep red-brown, they looked like big rubies!

Your welcome to one of my boys if you want to introduce some fresh blood.

Actually this is my Davis flock. I keep this one pure also.

I have a Wade Jean roo I hatched out on my birthday, but he's got way too much color and I want to find him a good home too.

I also have one from?? can't remember, but about same time that is the only one left from the eggs I won in stockton. Nice chick, but I have no idea about her lines. At least I got a pullet left from the massacre. I have a feeling though that my CM that is left is a cockerel. The Wade Jean bird doesn't like this one very well. So much easier to tell girl from boy with them when there are lots of them. I do think it is pretty light though.

I have about 6 more Davis eggs from yesterday and today to set and I have several in the bator for 3 more hatches including Easter.

Question of the day... if you buy feed, at say, Western Farm... do you tip the person who loads it?

I got 3 bags today... 2 bedding, one feed, and had the feeling I should, which I've never had in 20 years of shopping there. Have I been wrong for 20 years???

Also, they have the corn bedding Jeremy had under our AM chicks... $4.95 for a small bag & I $13.99 for a much bigger bag (1.3CF/24.8#). The chicks love it!

Thanks all!

Laurie

heck yeah I bet they could! There are hungry people everywhere in these times!

If you find the contact will you post it here?

I will. I've been looking for the card I had, but can't find it. Still searching for it though.

CONGRATULATIONS Kelsey and Bill (and little Luke though he doesn't know how lucky he is right now)!!! Are you gonna have a chicken stock in a couple of years when you're all settled?

Kim you worry me, living in an area where you can't even head out to your garage at night...

Actually no. I don't really have friends, just a few people I know.

I think you could count on a few of us BYCers to be friends enough to help you out on fixing it up!

Anna here's a couple of pics of Clark. He has just started to crow a real crow and sounds sick! Poor thing. Wish I could get it on video but everytime I go outside to try and catch it he comes running for treats and forgets about crowing.
