Bay Area BYCers!

Who knew there were so many items out there for holding eggs? Now I'm gonna be on the lookout for as many different styles of these there are!

Cheryl:

I'm so happy for you! I know you're sad about the breeding program - and I consider it a loss to breeding that you have to stop (for now).

But at least you get to keep your girls!

Please do let us know when you decide what you want to thin. I'm sure plenty of us would want to give your girls good homes.

First, I am SO thrilled for Cheryl!!!!!!

And, Jeremy, I subscribe to Workaday Chickens and DOH! didn't make the connection to Brookside Farms. Sorry! But that's a great photo and caption!!!

I have two Skelters, one for regular sized eggs and one for bantam eggs, and I just ordered two of these egg crates (one in white, one in the sky blue).
Thanks so much for posting the egg crate link - I think I'll use those for gathering customers' eggs and the Skelters for eggs I keep for my own use.

Linda, how are the BW eggs? What day is it for you now in incubation?

I really want one of the skelters AND one of the crates. Are the crates made of a material that could easily be painted?

It is really great news about the girls, Cheryl!

It seems so unfair to be unable to have even one rooster, though.

Somehow, it's like being told we can't save seeds.

I keep wishing that I could have one, but my neighbors are much closer than yours. I don't dare.

OK I'm a goof.

I used to have one of those egg holders and gave it away.

I bought mine at Pier 1 for like 10 bucks. It was a rainbowed.

Didn't like it then, but sure wish I had it now.
