Bay Area BYCers!

Hello Everyone! Being a newbie I've been using all the advice I can find that has been posted on BYC! And have learned sooooo much! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I finished my coop this weekend and my little babies made it through their first night in their new digs! My next hurdle is trying to figure out if any of the little silkies I have added to my flock are little roos....

Anyone have any advice on when (age?) or how I might be able to distinguish? I'm hoping there is a way before they begin to crow as I don't think my neighbors will appreciate it and I'll need to find them new homes.

Yea my sizzle hen went broody and she is like raptor status stealing the other girls eggs when I went to get them pancaked so flat her butt was in the air.

LOL! I love my broodies. I've got a momma with 3 week old chicks right now and another broody sitting on eggs that are due in about 2 weeks.

I almost wish now that I never bought a Brinsea... almost.

Maybe if you post some pics, some of us can help you out. Sometime Silkies can be a little difficult to sex when their young. How old are they anyway?

Laurie is that link posted with an ad someplace? I've seen that land and not on here. I saw a paragraph that jumped out and remembered reading all of the info.

Wish I had the money, it's breath taking. I really hope they can get a deal on it before losing anything that gorgeous. I don't have the connections to any of the investors we used to partner with or I'd send that link to all of them. Sure wish I was still investing. I don't even know where all my info is for some hard money lenders. OH I hate when people lose out like this.

Good Morning Wolftracks, thanks for responding! My silkies are 6 weeks old. I'll try to take some pictures. It might be a little early to tell yet. They're really just cute jurassic looking fluffs right now.

Another animal rehoming request.

Sharon my friend with cancer must rehome these two amazing blue-pointed RAG DOLL cats, born in 2000, so 11 years old. Fabulous health, all current on shots of course, these gorgeous boys (both boys) just lounge and are called Rag Doll cats because they just are like big fluffy ragdolls when they are held.

She paid quite a bit of money for them as they are purebreds. These are FREE to the right home.... please PM if you are interested

Here some info on the breed http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragdoll
