Bay Area BYCers!

Have a good time to everyone going to the Hierloom show. Maybe you could all wear a flower or tie a ballon to your wrist, so you can spot eachother. LOL That or have a few times to meet at a certain designation. However you find eachother, I hope you all do and hope you have a great time.

We'll miss seeing you!! But, maybe there will be a meet up early fall like last year???

I'm sure there will be something. Weekdays are just a no go when you have kids in school.

Kim, I totally understand and agree w/ you ... this year, I'm picking up my "grandkids" = one goes to pre-school and the other is in K ... their parents are working, so I'm doing the after school stuff 1 to 2 days/week alternating w/ their aunt and their folks. And, I live in Petaluma and am driving to Berkeley to meet them after school and sit at their house until their parents get home (you've seen the house before in Berkeley.) The beginning of like a 13 year committment !

Yup! Know that area of Berkeley well. Matter of fact I can get almost anywhere in the Bay, but I got lost on a 10 minute drive that became 25 this weekend. I thought I knew a shortcut. LOL NOT! Dakotah's friend thought it was funny although it cut a little time out of his hanging out at my house. The Valley confuses the heck out of me.

Oh and that 13 year commitment. I have the 3 oldest grandkids in college and only one drives and isn't living at home, so I get calls all the time for rides to work or to the college. My grandson wanted me to pick him up on saturday, so he could drive my car to work. haaaaaaaaaaaaa He decided at 21 he's going to learn to drive and I'm supposed to be the sucker. LOL I told him find me a really big lot with no parking curbs and I'll take him out to drive. Oh and Dakotah is in drivers ed, so thought I'd let him drive the car and not the SUV. His reasoning is he'd be even more careful with my car. I told him that was scary to even think about and maybe we need to find one of those extended schools where the CHP teaches. He's going to take their motorcycle course eventually, so might as well do the regular class with them too. This is what I get for panicing over the empty nest days. Still have a kid I need to go through the driving thing with.

And we thought once the kids were gone, we were done. LOL
