Our local breeder gave our clucky hen some eggs to incubate and 5 gorgeous chicks hatched last week. On advice from the breeder we are treating them with Baycox (Yesterday & today). Mother hen has also been drinking from the solution. This morning I realised it’s possible (but unlikely) that my 3 other layers had a sip last night. Do I have to throw out their eggs for 6 to 8 weeks? Or would one sip not be enough to be harmful to a human who consumed an egg from that hen?
Considering the breeder is taking the new chicks in a few weeks & I can’t actually tell my chooks apart (unless one is clucky or a new mum), how the hell am I going to be able to tell when mum is laying again and if her eggs are safe for human consumption? What are the side effects of eating eggs inside the Baycox withholding period?

Don't eat them while she's on medication. When she gets off of it, It's good to wait 2-3 days, maybe up to a week or so just to make sure everything's out of her system before you can start to safely eating her eggs again.
