After trial and error I finally have a few flocks established here in the Deep South on the bayou Teche in the midst of sugar cane, soy and, pepper fields.
There are 4 laying hens, eight geese,15 rouen ducks and a pair of muscovey
The chickens are behind a 4 1/2 foot electric fence with a coop and its movable and the others are free range. The geese and ducks have free access to the bayou at all times and everyone for a mile around know who the bullies are. Thought if I FINALLY joined somthing like this I might avoid any more mistakes on the learning curve of keeping feathered friends.

G’Day from down under Bayou Henny :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flocks, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
