I keep thinking I'll get a golden next time. Purebred. Responsible breeder. Do it right... but I'm a sucker. I can almost guarantee that I end up with a other rez dogthat they found in a dumpster.

That’s the problem isn’t it!? So many cute rescues. I’ve never had a well bred dog and always wanted one but then all the rescue dogs I know are SO amazing and awesome dogs that I’m like maybe I just need a rescue mutt I’ll probably eventually do both when I can. I am so torn between breeds though

I could put her on a stay and have taken peoples money that she wouldn’t come off that spot until I told her to.

She nipped a guy that tried to pick her up from that spot. He decided his hundred bucks was worth the warning. He lost.

Wife put her on a stay at the kids bus stop. Walked home, did laundry..... and realized she forgot the dog. Had a police officer standing near her waiting on AC because she wouldn’t let him touch her collar to read the tag. Petting head was OK, just not a finger under her collar.

I miss that dog.

Timmy, the one not pictured, is a crazy Frisbee dog. Rez puppy that showed up in a suitcase. He's amazing. Two more rez dogs on the way next week. I can't wait.
Also, my dogs may not be geniuses, but they're good boys. They don't chew, that don't bark, and they get along with everyone. They're good boys.

Get a male. I can't stand aussies, honestly. They bark non stop, too high energy, and I'm just not into the herding breeds. They're smart af, though. Crazy smart.

They bark incessantly when they’re bored, not disciplined, or both. They NEED a job. 2-3 hours of work each day. 4 hours every other day minimum. We’re taking tongue hanging out, smiling, tired pooch.

Agreed. No one who gets these dogs has a proper job for them.

Get a male. I can't stand aussies, honestly. They bark non stop, too high energy, and I'm just not into the herding breeds. They're smart af, though. Crazy smart.

Yeah, I feel like Aussies are one of those breeds that people either hate or love I haven’t really met any people in the middle and even some owners are like “I hated mine and would never get another!” Whereas others are like “best dog ever” so it’s so hard to know! I’ve been trying to meet the breeds I’m interested in to learn more but haven’t really had any luck finding some.

Honestly, I was sure I had finally narrowed it down to an Aussie or a Golden but then I keep going back to some breeds like Border Collie, GSP, and Brittany. I don’t think a Brittany would be a good fit with the birds, cat, and parakeets though so they’re kinda on the back burner but yeah. I do love them. They’re kinda crazy energy wise though but then again all those breeds are I feel like haha but I’m like obsessed with training/working dogs so not a huge deal especially since I wanna get into some of the higher energy sports like agility and possibly dock diving or rally but definitely agility and nose work. And of course trick training

Wife’s mutt was perfect and well mannered. We put her through obedience rounds each night for about an hour, then threw a frisbee for her until she started smiling with her tongue out. Usually after 45 minutes to an hour.
She never once did anything wrong left inside our apartment daily for a year.

My springer is awesome with chickens and sons parakeets. I’m sure a Brittany would be the same.
Yes I hunt her. No problems separating the difference.
