Bbbzzzzz... DE not working

I've been sprinkling DE around a certain area of my yard that seems to attract the most flies. I've been feeding DE to the girls, putting it on their treats, and sprinkling it on the poop, in the coop, in the run, and where they dust bathe. I even sprayed the most egregious area down with the hose to wash the poo into the dirt.

But let's face it: the fly swarm is disgusting, loud, and obnoxious. What am I doing wrong?

Go to Tractor Supply. They carry a wide assortment of fly traps that work. Better still get some Golden Malrin. It will definitely work

You aren't doing anything wrong. DE has to be on pretty heavy to get all the flies then it's too dusty. I've always used DE, but last year was horrendous. It did no good at all for flies. Traps were the only thing that worked.
