Hi everyone! This is my cross chick. It is the beginning of my project to create my own breed. Whatcha think? Look at those legs!

What's your end goal on this new breed?

My end goal is a large fluffy breed with a long tail.

My plan for F2 is to breed it back to a phoenix. And then who knows? Add some Salmon Favorelles, or Cochin. Kind of going with the flow. This is a lifelong project. I know it will take forever to get it and stabilize it halfway. I just love how the legs on this chick look so grownup- and they are not proportional to the body at all.

there is always Langshan too, supposedly hard to find but McMurray has them https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/langshans.html . I believe they were used to make Jersey Giants.

I love the idea of brahma! I do not care so much about keeping a single comb. Maybe in a few years there will be an update.
