O.K. you know there's a catch. My flock of BC Marans are from Jesse Bryant's line. I've subsequently bought all of Jesse's birds (the parent stock) and am now selling eggs and chicks from the parent stock (Jesse's birds). So, I've turned my original BC Marans flock loose and they have gone back to freeranging. So there is the possibility that another roo could get to one of the females but so far the two BCM roos are doing a great job of keeping their girls way off to one side of the farm and chasing off any roo that dares come close. So, you may get a "surprise". But at $10 per dozen plus $10 shipping it's worth the risk. Also, one final warning. The last batch of their eggs that I put in bator had some, less than half, that were not fertile or at least did not develop. But, I had held them a couple of weeks and it has been so hot here and such a long drought. I turned the Marans loose because of the heat and because they had started eating their own eggs. Now that they are free again, they are much happier and I'm back to getting a half dozen eggs a day from the seven girls.

So if you want a great deal on BC Marans eggs and are willing to risk surprises Paypal is [email protected] $20 total.

Here's some of the parents:

Here's some of their eggs and chicks hatching:

And here they are back to doing what they love to do - freerange:

They have been freeranging for a little over a week.

Man that was quick, lol.

I will take the next ten, if you offer again.

Those birds are just beautiful. I'd be up for some. When's the next dozen going to be ready?

Include your address with PayPal and they can go out the next day.

I'll also start a list and should have a dozen ready to go every three days.

I just can't bring myself to eat these beautiful eggs and my bator is full with eggs from the parent stock of which I have 26 females and 6 roos so lots and lots of eggs and there will be lots and lots of chicks to sell. But I know "my" flock's eggs will still produce some beautiful and probably mostly pure-bred babies eventhough they are freeranging. It just seemed cruel to keep them locked up in this heat. They were craning their necks trying to reach the green grass growing on the other side of their fence.

I'll put names on "The List" as PayPal payments are received. I'm getting at least 5 eggs a day now that they are back to freeranging and not "cooped up" eating their own eggs so I should be able to fill an order every 3 days. These are the same birds whose eggs I've been selling for $65 a dozen.

Hi Monique,
I just sent my money through paypal. Did you get it?
How far down on the list does that put me?
Thanks,
Teri

Well the PMs are flying in. To answer the general questions, "The List" just started. There is one person on it for the first dozen. Another in the works for possibly the next two dozen. So then all other orders would start going out on Monday of next week.

First thing next week but PMs and PayPal payments are coming in so quickly I can't keep up.
