I don't have pics of my individual chicks yet. I was wondering if anyone who raises BCM could let me know how soon you can start telling the roos from the hens? My chicks are about a week and a half old right now.

What is a BCM??? Is it Black copper Marans???

about 3-4 weeks or so and the combs on most of the boys will be bigger and redder although there can always be a late bloomer

I always heard that you can tell their age from chickhood - Something about a light colored spot on their head if they're a rooster?

That's a BSL, not a BCM.
