BCM Hen?

Hi All!

A couple weeks back I purchased what was sold to me as a female black copper marans. Fast forward 7 weeks to now, she is somewhere around 7-8 weeks old. Her coloring does not look like a BCM to me and she has yellow legs. Could she be cuckoo? Also there seems to be a little reddening on her comb, is that typical around this age for a hen?

Yes that’s a hen, but not a BCM, she looks like a Silver Laced Wyandotte.

Oh interesting. I wonder how she got mixed up in the BCM bin. The strange thing is, she looked just like a BCM chick when I got her. No white at all.

Actually I do see a little white around her face/ear area. Nothing on her body though. These are bad pictures, but all I have.

Yup, that’s definitely a Silver Laced Wyandotte chick
