Can someone tell me if the following chicks are Black/Blue Copper Maran or BCM mixed? The mixed ones have a pure Ameraucana mother and a Wheaten Marans father. Out of 24 eggs, 12 were pure BCM and 12 were mixed.
I'm pretty sure the first five pics are girls. They are all different shades of black. One of them has lightly feathered legs, the rest are clean legged.
(If anyone is interested in the roo's and lives in SC they are free to a good home)
This one looks like she has barring, but she doesn't, it must be the camera.
This one has a pea comb and I'm pretty sure is a roo. Olive Egger?
This is the other one that has a pea comb, but this one isn't nearly as developed as the one above and her head is darker. Pullet? Olive Egger?
This is the same chick as two pictures above.
Blue CM roo?
Clean legged BCM roo?
These chicks all have muffs. Is it true that a pea comb will be an Olive Egger and a straight comb will be an EE?
This guy is gorgeous and has a really cute muff, but it's hard to see in this pic.
Is this a pullet or a roo? The comb isn't big or red like the other ones, but it's also not small and tan like some of the girls.
Better look at the comb.
My favorite, Blue EE pullet? She has a straight comb and muffs.
Group shot. You can see the other tan/blue EE with a much bigger comb.
