BCMarans x Golden Cuckoo cross

"Gulp" Thank you!! I had to read that a few times but it is making sense. Can you tell me what happens when you breed a B/b+ (homozygous) males to B/- (would that be heterozygous) hens

Due to the dominant sex linked gene, will they produce barred offspring? If not why and if so then why did the seller tell me to breed to a black silkie instead of to another cuckoo?

A B/b+ heterozygous barred male X B/- hemizygous barred hen will produce B/B homozygous barred males, B/- hemizygous barred hens, B/b+ hetrozygous barred males & b+/- unbarred hens.

if so then why did the seller tell me to breed to a black Silkie instead of to another cuckoo?

Good exhibition quality Cuckoo Silkies are a genetic impossibility, as the barring (cuckoo) gene removes melanin from the bird, in a homozygous male this produces a bird with pale shanks, skin, red comb & wattles. The heterozygous B/b+ male & hemizygous B/- female are darker but never correct.
