I left it too long and her beak has re-opened and the top of her head is bleeding. I have separated her from the other two until it heals and will cull the male tomorrow.

In the meantime, her beak is all bloody. Can I do anything at home, or should I hustle to the vet tomorrow?

I understand that both birds will now attack her since she is showing blood. How long until I can re-integrate her with her one remaining pen-mate?

Thanks!

I checked on her again and the blood had dried into a huge blood clot on her nose.

I decided to intervene. I cleaned off the blood clot with a warm washcloth, then dabbed on some polysporin with a q-tip. Hopefully I didn't just kill her.

This morning she seems fine. I separated the possible male and stuck "injured beak" bird back in with the other female and she seemed quite happy.

Amazing birds!

If you ever have an injury again you can get Rooster Booster Pick No More or Blue Cote from a feed store, they treat the wound and also cover the blood to discourage other birds from attacking the injured one.
Cheers,
Jessie
