My Polish hen has somehow cracked her top beak right across toward the end. It is splitting apart and bleeding but right now is still held on quite firmly, not really dangling off or anything. What should I do with it? Is it better to leave it alone? Should I keep her in isolation? Help!

you could put a bit of super glue on it but I not the expert in that department.she should be just fine as long as the layer beneath is okay, just don;t give her any hard food give her soft food like mash, oatmeal, eggs(no salt, just scrambled).

Yes super glue. Thanks! I have smoothed some superglue across the crack. She is out free ranging in the garden so I will have to keep an eye on her.if it gets any worse I will bring her inside.

my rooster did the same thing trying to impress his girl and pecked the concrete of our chicken graveyard and cracked it so....
