My white chinese has had this spot on his face since I got him at 1 day old. It seems to be healing/getting smaller. Should I be worried? Is it permanent? Is he still show quality?

What a precious bean!

Flesh wounds heal pretty quickly and scarring isn’t usually permanent on bills in adult geese, as for if he’ll be show quality that’s an unknown.

One of my geese “classic roman” had a little bit of shell membrane stuck to her bill when she arrived first arrived as a gosling, for some reason as she grew the spot with the membrane turned into a slight crease that deepened into a pretty intense divot in her face. I have no idea why or how this even happened but I’ve heard about a handful of other geese that have similar divots.

Your situation is alot different so I think most likely it will heal normally like nothing happened but just in case be prepared that there’s a small possibility it could affect his bill development.
