Day 18 (3/24): Lockdown Summary

• 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM:
- Removed the turner tray and placed the eggs flat on the grey mesh floor.
- Incubator reads incorrectly that it is Day 12, not going to adjust at this time
- A recovery spike occured where the temp hit 100.4°F and humidity reached 68.6% after the lid had been open.

• 3:30 PM:
- Tempurature 100.0°F
- Humidity 66.9%
- The eggs were reported as stable and flat on the mesh.

• 8:40 PM:
- Monitored a very consistent stretch through the evening.
- Tempurature 100.0°F
- Humidity 67.0%
- Confirmed the thermometer was sitting directly on the mesh for accuracy.

• 9:50 PM:
- Began to slowly, incrementally remove the blanket but keeping the room warm to maintain temperature.

• 12:00 AM:
- Added a small amount of water to the external ports to give the humidity a slight "boost" for the overnight stretch.
- Humidity jumped from 66.4% up toward the 70% mark.

Final Day 18 Tally
- Average Temp: ~100.0°F
- Average Humidity: ~67-68%
- Status: All 5 eggs successfully transitioned without any major temp crashes.

It has been a very quiet day and then the most exciting thing happened!

Strange has pipped! She is chipping happily. All the other eggs are rocking!

Yep, humidity goes up to 65%-75% and temp is alright around 100°. The chicks are starting to make their own heat now and things are moving! As long as it doesn't go past 102, we're good.
