EE/OE, Polish and Duck hatch along!

@GreenJay you sure know how to call them! In a twist of events, Tapioca decided to unzip and she beat Waffles out! And Waffles just hatched too! So your two babies have successfully hatched! 🐣
(Waffles is the blonde baby and Tapioca is the black one!)

🤣 Gonna have to swap names! Tapioca should be the blonde chick 😁

They are so cute! I am planning to keep Waffles, as she is either a Wheaton/isabella ameraucana! Tapioca and most of the OE chicks will be rehomed, and with the chick shortage, I hope people will be grateful to get some of these cute babies!

I managed to break 4 of my broodies this week (there were 6 total 🤪) so now I just have my two sister frizzle broodies and they will be hopefully raising all of the chicks that I keep!

Okay, lots of activity since yesterday!

#4 and #6 hatched they are both EE with naked necks! They look pretty similar but #4 has partridge stripes on the back and #6 looks pure yellow. I have named #4 Cornflake and #6 Butter.

@Chicken_Obsesser #9 Sushi hatched! A yellow chick also with partridge stripes! Does anyone know what that may mean for color when they feather out?

@malirae #7 Bagel needed assistance, and is still halfway in the shell. Looks like a blue chick with peacomb. I hope she can pull through. But #18 Cashew hatched and it’s a dark blue chick with straight comb!

@BoundlessLove So sorry - number 13 Mousse didn’t actually pip - I thought I saw a pip yesterday but today realized there was nothing. So I opened the air cell and realized it had never developed!! It was a super dark egg that I couldn’t see through at all. I totally would have taken it off the list if I realized that it never developed! 😣

@grace_poultry #20 Parsnip hatched overnight which was a total surprise. It must have been only a few hours from pip to zip. Also egg #10 Mango hatched! A yellow chick that I had to assist out because she didn’t externally pip. Still recovering in the incubator.

Polish Eggs #28 and #32 also hatched and they all look identical so far! I’ll name #28 Bonbon and #32 Sundae.

I hope more of the polish hatch today - today is day 20 for them. I can hear some of them peeping in their shells. The only one that has externally pipped is #19 Chalupa.

Here are some random pics including group pics of the 12 that are out of the incubator.
