Huh. I hadn't thought about the hardware cloth being a hazard. Cheeto is on one side of the hardware cloth and my banty roo on the other side. They do like to peck at each other through the wire. I wonder if that's what happened.
Thanks for the encouragement. He's such a good rooster. I'd hate to lose him.

Mine broke his and it did grow back. When it happened, I put a little ambisol on his beak to help with the pain and also gave him a moist mash in a deep dish so that he would accidently tap his hurt beak on anything like with the feeders that are stainless and have the holes. He should be fine.
