beak pecking..are they kissing?

yes.agree..last night my 6 Hens were on their evening stroll in the yard.. a Cooper Hawk flew over.. they all froze in place after the lead Hen gave the warning..
3 of the 6 came up and lightly pecked her on her beak ..
After the threat was gone gone..
they got back to their usual routine.

NO it isn't they just want the extra food from their beaks as is the pecking order period, no Human behavior period.

AL
nope.
Raised Hens all my life.. .It happens when they are threatened and the lead Hen takes control.. Cooper Hawk flew over ..the six hens stood in place.. when the threat was gone.. 3 of the hens touched beaks with her..
then they got back to their ‘ normal’ behavior

Hey! Helped me out, so I'm glad you were late to this party! Haha my kiddo said she heard my 8 week old rooster crow this morning and I haven't heard it. Mistakes were made and I played a rooster sound on my phone being new to chickens thinking he would repeat it....he just kept pecking one of my 8 week old hens beaks....so here I am trying to find out why
