Beaks to sky and quick opening and closing

My 2 4+ month muscovy drakes do this thing where they raise their beaks up as high as they can to the sky and quickly open and close them. Maybe someone else asked this but I couldn't find it. What is that all about? It's so strange and I don't know if it is some dominance thing or not but they seem to inspire the other to do it. Thanks

are they kinda snapping at the air? Mine do this when trying to catch flies.
 
Yes but there are virtually no bugs now. I'm in NH and all the bugs (especially flying ones are gone. Like Ruth said it's most likely the fly catching mannerism (practice?). They're just SO cute!
