My wife snapped this pic 15 min after I left this morning. Damm thing raided my dumpster. Good thing I don't have chickens yet.

Hopefully he doesn't come back tomorrow. The couple who put a offer on our house has their inspections tomorrow. Last thing I need is garbage strewn all over the place.

Fingers crossed everything goes well. We'll be one step closer to getting into a new place and getting some chickens.

If we were staying here, absolutely. Hopefully the new house will be bear free. Lol

I don't (yet) live in bear country, but your plan should include electric fencing, properly set up, and baited first, to keep out bears. Howard E on this site, and Premier1supplies.com, are both good resources for information, and Premier for products.
RIGHT NOW you need to upgrade the garbage dumpster! Electric fencing is legal where you live, a more bear-proof container, and advice from your DNR.
I grew up summering in northern Wisconsin, also with many black bears, and garbage management was very important. We were careful, and never had issues.

Bears of yrs ago that fed on garbage definitely tasted like garbage. The closing of dumps yrs ago changed that. Love bear meat. Just remove all the fat.
A bag of trash hear and there isn't going to matter.
